Packaging and Printing
The packaging industry is responding to the increasing demand from brand owners for shorter product life cycles and cost-driven changes, resulting in more short-term orders and more production line changes. And the downtime of more traditionally configured production lines. The new generation of robotic systems, especially the improvement of data flow means that packaging production can integrate and connect key processes (design, production, distribution, maintenance) into a holistic approach, rather than relying on separate automation islands.

The most important impact of the new robot platform will be felt in processing and distribution. Bright Dairy is the third largest dairy food market participant in China. It has designed a yogurt production plant in Tianjin in cooperation with Tetra Pak Packaging. After full integration, 500 tons of raw milk can be processed every day. All processing and packaging operations of the entire plant and their respective enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems will be integrated with the Swiss company's PlantMaster MES suite. The platform includes equipment, quality and utility management, a warehouse management system, a traceability analysis system, and reports from receiving raw milk to processing warehouses using QR codes. Tetra Pak can provide them with PlantMaster MES Suite, a solution that connects processing and packaging to a system, a digital environment and a screen. In addition to improving production efficiency, all relevant production data can be provided to operators in one place in real time, enabling Bright Dairy to manage China's growing food safety, quality and traceability requirements.
